Saving articles, and what signing in gives you

Saving and liking work without an account — here is what changes when you sign in.

Written by Bryan Fawcett

Tap the bookmark icon on any story to save it. Your saved stories live on the Saved page, reachable from the profile menu.

You don't need an account

Saving and liking work when you are signed out. They are tied to the browser you used, so they stay on that one device and are lost if you clear your site data.

What signing in changes

  • Your saves and likes follow your account onto any device you sign in on.

  • Anything you saved or liked before signing in on that device is carried over to your account the first time you interact after signing in — you do not lose it.

  • Your interests are stored on your profile rather than in the browser.

How to sign in

Tap the account icon in the header. Mukoko News uses the shared Mukoko sign-in page, so if you are already signed in to another Mukoko app you will come straight back without entering anything. There is no separate Mukoko News password.
