Is my budget data private from other users?

How Nyuchi MCP for YNAB keeps each person's budget separate from everyone else's.

Written by Bryan Fawcett

Yes. This is a shared, multi-tenant deployment — many people connect to the same https://ynab.nyuchi.com/mcp endpoint — but every request runs as you, using either your own YNAB sign-in or your own personal access token.

How isolation works

  • Each caller's requests are handled using their own YNAB credentials, resolved fresh on every request. There is no shared login and no default account.

  • Cached data (used to respond quickly without hammering the YNAB API) is kept in a separate store per person, keyed off their own credential — never shared across callers.

  • Nobody else's budget is ever visible to you through this service, and yours is never visible to them.

See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what data is accessed, how it's stored, and how to request deletion.
